There
are three categories of membership with AmericasRelief
Team: Team Member,
Strategic Supporter, and Friends of AmericasRelief
Team.
Renewal of membership is required annually. The AmericasRelief
Team logo and brand remain the property of AmericasRelief
Team and their use is contingent upon compliance
with AmericasRelief Team's standards and continued membership. |

TEAM
MEMBER |
This
membership category is for non-profit, relief organizations,
and for companies that provide services needed during
emergency relief operations, or which support the AmericasRelief
Team mission. A
Team Member corporation is the exclusive representative
of its industry. |
 |
Dues: There
are no dues, but corporate members are asked to voluntarily
contribute $500, and non-profit members $300 per year
toward the operating expenses of the organization. |
 |

community; and helps to cultivate relations
with government, non-profits, and other corporations.

matching outlets for in-kind donations from
member corporations, and receives all of the
benefits of Strategic Supporters.

Eligibility
Requirements: This
category is reserved for those who desire the highest
level of involvement with the activities of the organization. Prospective
Team Members must be sponsored by an active Team
Member, must agree to a statement of cooperation,
and must be approved by the AmericasRelief
Team Board of
Directors prior to activation. |

SUPPORTERS |
This
membership category is for any company which provides
services needed during emergency relief operations,
and which is willing to contribute or participate
in AmericasRelief
Team's “Bank
of Charity Cargo” program. Or for non-profit
relief organizations wishing to collaborate and participate
in the free or discounted cargo component of the “Bank
of Charity Cargo” program. |

Summary
of some of the Benefits: |

- Invited
to attend special invitation-only events,
including the Annual Report to Caribbean
Consul Generals.
- Corporations: AmericasRelief
Team handles
multiple inquiries and requests saving
the company from having to “negotiate” with
many non profit and humanitarian organizations;
pre-qualifies the humanitarian and relief
organizations to make sure that the aid
will be received and distributed to those
with the greatest needs; and facilitate
receiving IRS deduction for in-kid donations.
- Non-Profits:
better access to discounted or free cargo
space, bill of lading, and other services;
emergency schedules, of air carriers
following a disaster in the Caribbean
Basin country or Latin America; and access
to inventory of donated or discounted "charity" cargo
and in-kind support.

Eligibility
Requirements: Must
be a company engaged in one of the following businesses:
ocean or air cargo, stevedoring, warehousing, or
other disciplines related to logistics or supply
chain management of relief aid. Or be a non-profit
organization active in humanitarian relief activities.

Team Board
of Directors prior to activation. |

FRIENDS
OF AMERICAS RELIEF TEAM |
Open
to all organizations or individuals who are interested
in issues related to Caribbean Basin and Latin America
humanitarian relief. |

non-profit partners.
- Membership is by invitation-only and
must be approved the Board of Director. Yearly membership
fee is only $100.
- For
steamship companies, air cargo companies, warehousing,
and cargo handling companies: Participate in
the exclusive Bank Depository of Charity Cargo to provide
relief organizations the best options for shipping
corporate donations fast and efficiently.
- Helps to create goodwill.
- Provides matching outlets for in-kind
donations from member corpor-ations.
- Helps cultivate relations with government
and corporations and pro-vides access for possible
program assistance.
- Members
are invited to attend special invitation-only events,
including the Annual Report to Caribbean Consul
Generals. These
events provide member organizations with a unique
opportunity to learn about humanitarian relief
efforts in the Caribbean Basin, and meet potential
corporate partners.
- Membership
is by invitation-only and must be approved the
Board of Director. There
are no membership fees for government or for
non-profit
organization.
